Director's Corner

As we enter 2017, MHA remains dedicated to person-centered patient care, advocacy and education for both our client populations and our community. Our staff are currently reviewing all organizational and programmatic policies and procedures as we prepare for our CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) reaccreditation in March of this year. Accreditation assists service providers to improve the quality of their services and meet internationally recognized standards.

Additionally, we are working on our next community education/advocacy event – Mental Health 911 on March 21 at the Charles R. Kelly Community Center from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  We will again partner with the EBR Parish Coroner’s Office, local healthcare facilities and other mental health professionals. This event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
